At Bowie, there is a place for anyone that would like to sing. We currently have six emsembles spanning all four grade levels and nearly two-hundred students. The question is not whether or not there is a place for you, but rather, are you willing to take the journey? |

Beginning Ladies |
This entry level choir is made up of 9th-12th grade women that are new or less experienced singers. It is open to all students, and does not require an audition. We will focus on the basics of sight-reading, harmony, breathing, musicianship, choral technique and music etiquette. This choir may perform at UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest if eligible, and are required to perform at all Choir Concerts throughout the year.

Intermediate Women |
This auditioned choir is made up of 9th-12th grade women that are less experienced singers. We will focus on the basics of sight-reading, harmony, breathing, musicianship, choral technique and music etiquette. This choir will perform at UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest if eligible, and are required to perform at all Choir Concerts throughout the year.

Select Women |
This choir is an auditioned choir made up of 9th-12th grade women that are more advanced singers and musicians. This choir will perform repertoire from all musical periods. They are an advanced choir, and are expected to maintain academic elegibility to remain in the choir. This choir will perform at UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest, and are required to perform at all Choir Concerts throughout the year. As opportunities arise, this group may also perform outside of regular concert venues, and all members are required to participate in all concerts.

Beginning Men |

Chorale |
This advanced level choir is an auditioned choir made up of 9th-12th grade men and women that are more advanced singers and musicians. This choir will perform repertoire from all musical periods. They are an advanced level choir, and are expected to maintain academic elegibility to remain in the choir. This choir will perform at UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest, and are required to perform at all Choir Concerts throughout the year. As opportunities arise, this group may also perform outside of regular concert venues, and all members are required to participate in all concerts. Additional rehearsals outside of the school day are a part of this class, and personal rehearsal time is expected of all members.

Volunteer Voices |
This highly select ensemble is an auditioned group of 7-15 students. They are expected to be self-motivated, self-directed students that will take initiative to create unique and exciting a cappella repertoire from current and past "pop" music sources. The Voices are the face of the Bowie Choral Department and are expected to maintain excellence in behavior, attitude, and academic eligibility. They will perform extensively outside of regular Choir Concerts, and are expected to prepare and rehearse outside of class time.
