Jermaine Lobaugh, Director of Choirs

Mr. Lobaugh holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Friends University in Wichita, KS. Mr. Lobaugh has led musicians ranging from 5 - 70 years of age between his experiences in K-12 schools and church positions. An accomplished vocalist, Mr. Lobaugh has performed with "The Singing Quakers" in college, under the direction of Dr. Cecil J. Riney. As a member of the Quakers, Mr. Lobaugh has toured the world, including Germany, Russia, New York, and Washington D.C. He has also sung with the Master Arts Chorale under Dr. John Leavitt, and the Wichita Symphony Chorus. As a member of Kenaniah, an a cappella quintet, Mr. Lobaugh has had the opportunity to perform with Rich Mullins.

In his spare time, Mr. Lobaugh enjoys performing live theatre. Favorite roles have included parts in RAGTIME, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM - but right now, he is having too much fun (and is much too busy) with his role as Choral Director at Bowie High School.

Stanley A. Moody, Assistant Choral Director

Mr. Moody is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio where he studied choral conducting and music education. Singers under Mr. Moody’s direction have received honors at TMEA regional auditions, superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sight reading Competition, placement of students in the TCDA State Elementary and Middle School Honor Choirs, and placement of two students in the ACDA National Middle School Honor Choir. Mr. Moody has had the pleasure of conducting the Alamo City Men’s Chorale, UTSA Lyric Theatre, The Children's Chorus of San Antonio, and The San Antonio Choral Society. Mr. Moody also served as the Music Director for Northwood Presbyterian Church and the Associate Artistic Director of the Alamo City Men’s Chorale.  Mr. Moody is excited to pursue new musical endeavors with the choirs of James Bowie High School in Arlington ISD, serving as the assistant choral director.

In his spare time, Mr. Moody enjoys performing as a baritone in churches, professional choirs, and collegiate choirs.  He also enjoys movie going and spending too much money on consumer electronics.  Currently a student himself, Moody will be continuing to work on his masters degree in choral conducting at the University of North Texas under the mentorship of Dr. Jerry McCoy.
